Walker was born in 1976 in Philadelphia Pennsylvania, United States of America. Walker is an American citizen who is of African descendance. She is the child of Harvey Welker, a Native American father along with Julie Welker, an African American Mother. Her mother is an agent for real estate, and her father has a degree in engineering. Walker attended Germantown Friends School, which is part of the Germantown Friends School of Philadelphia's Germantown in 1994, and was awarded an award in 1994. Following her graduation of Harvard College in 1998, she went to Harvard College and earned her bachelor of Arts. Welker is married for over 20 years to John Hughes who is a well known marketing director of Merck Philadelphia. John and Sheila are parents to two kids. In 2014, they started dating. John her husband, is 4 years younger than her. They decided to move their relationship to the next stage because things were running so smoothly. They were wed on March 4, 2017.
