Zoe Saldana (born June 19 1978) was born to Asalia Saldana and Aridio Saldana, who reside in Passaic New Jersey. Her birthplace was in Passaic, New Jersey to Asalia Nazario and Aridio Saldana. She was raised in Queens, New York. Her family and she went to Dominican Republic at the age of 10 where they would stay for the rest of seven years. Zoe's interest in dance was piqued while they lived in the Dominican Republic. Zoe started her dance education through ECOS Espacio de Danza Dance Academy.
