Lars Mikkelsen-3-1024x657Lars Dittmann Mikkelsen, born 6 May 1964, is a Danish actor. He is an actor from Denmark who has played Troels Hartmann, Copenhagen's mayoral candidate, in The Killing. [1] Charles Augustus Magnussen was the third series of Sherlock. Viktor Petrov, the Russian president, was also portrayed in American House of Cards. Star Wars Rebels featured Grand Admiral Thrawn as Thrawn. In 2011, he was awarded the Reumert Prize of Honour At the age of 27 He was enrolled at the National Theatre School of Denmark where he graduated in 1995. He was also a part of The Killing's drama. Then, he appeared in Borgen III and Those Who Kill, which were both highly acclaimed Danish dramas. He also played a lead role in an episode of BBC drama Sherlock as blackmailer Charles Augustus Magnussen.In the American television show House of Cards, he played the role of President Russia. He was awarded an International Emmy Award in 2018 for his performance in the Danish TV drama Herrens Veje. The show aired in the UK in 2019under the title Ride Upon the Storm.
