Maria Brink

 Maria Brink was born December 18 1977. She is an American performer and songwriter. In This Moment has released seven albums. They have receiving four nominations, two of which came from Alternative Press Music Awards and one nomination from the Grammy Awards. Brink is also recognized as the "Rock Goddess of the Year", "Hottest Female in Metal" in 2010, and one of 11 women in heavy metal, according to Yell! Revolver Magazine named Brink one of the "25 most hot girls in Hard Rock & Metal" in 2012. In 2002, when she was 25 years old, she relocated to Los Angeles to find a group to work with. Prior to getting a band, she worked in stores, as well as in coffee shops and bars. At an audition, she met Chris Howorth in 2004. Howorth was initially hesitant to engage Brink as a singer due to the fact that she was a woman. A few weeks later, Howorth apologized and then hired Brink as the lead singer. They formed the band Dying Star with drummer Jeff Fabb .They were later joined by guitarist Blake Bunzel and bassist Josh Newell. The band soon changed its name to In This Moment.
